Sleep in Heavenly Peace

I hope none of you had (or are currently having) a Silent Night 🙂

What fun is that?!

I am blessed to be the oldest of all my cousins, so Santa is still a BIG deal around these parts. Tonight there was a lot of soda, cookies, hot cocoa and candy consumed at my Aunt’s pajama Christmas Eve part-ay tonight.

I do not know how I manage to fit all of the appetizers, main course, beer (and more beer)  and then top it off with some rich hot cocoa into my stomach.

Oh, I remember, I was wearing PJs.

Two Words: Elastic Waist….ehhhhh!

Hey, it’s Christmastime. I’ll think about that whole food thing tomorrow next week.

Tonight will all be followed by “brunch” tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.

Yes, brunch at 9:30.

In my book that is straight up BREAKFAST. But it’s all good because I am sure those cousins of mine  will be up and ready to open presents from Santa well before 9:30…gotta love that!

What’s on their lists this year?

For Daniel (12)l: XBOX360…if you want to know why that instead of PS3 just ask him, he could write a book. I just want him to get Rockstar or Rockband or whatever its called becuas ei LOVE Guitar Hero and KAraoke so combine them and I will actually have FUN with a video game. That hasn’t happened since Mario World on the original Nintendo. Ooooo! Or tetris on the original Gameboy, of course!

For Brian (7): PSP…all these boys ever want is some new-fangled technology. Geez, I sound like an old lady. I swear I am 21.

For Cassidy-Rae (13): Clothes and music. The girl loves everything from the classic Bare Naked Ladies to Amy Winehouse and Maroon5 😉

For Olivia (3): BARBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And PRINCESSES!!!!!!!!!!!! AND BALLERINAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…I love little girls, I get them!

For Madelyn (1): A baby doll. She actually got one tonight and she took very good care of that baby for being a baby herself, although I got put on babysitting duty.

(and by the way, don’t my cousin’s have fabulous names? adorable, I know. and they are all good lookin’ too!)

So let’s all hope Santa brings my cousins what they want….they should be on the NICE list…ehhhhh, right boys?!!!

As most boys are my cousins are on the borderline there, but I am sure Santa will round up!

So next stop: Church with my dad…if I can fit into something decent after the food  feast!

Here is wishing you and yours a warm, filling and happy Christmas!

And let’s send a little Christmas loving Mifflin’s way tonight. The poor boy is in Texas…no family…no Christmas tree…no Christmas at all really.  He has to be up and ready before 11 a.m. tomorrow too, his job doesn’t stop. He’s not happy about that right now.

(you guys don’t have to send him hugs and kisses if you don’t want to, but its up to you!)

and Merry Christmas my fellow bloggers, hopefully you all have at least one person in your life to get you excited about Santa and reindeer and the magic of Christmas, it’s really important to me 🙂

*sleep tonight in heavenly peace, may your troubles be miles away*

12 Pains

Back in High School my best friends and I made this music video.

If my KathieLee secret wasn’t embarrassing enough…

12 Pains of Christmas

 Merry Christmas!

Christmas Confession

This is embarrassing.

I kind of feel like a Cotton-headed Ninnymuggins for this one. (“Elf” anyone?!)

As I am currently decking the halls of my apartment ( we got our tree last weekend and hung our stockings. YAY!) I have decided to face something incredibly embarrassing: My favorite Christmas album of all time.

But I am going to get sidetracked first!

The tree is HUGE. We carried it up three flights of stairs and got it in it’s stand ALL BY OURSELVES. I did however make it clear to our “Tree boy” that I would need him to cut the bottom, trim the bottom branches, and tie it to the top of our car. He did all of that for us. What a good tree boy.

We are even watering it.

(That was for Mifflin. He is very concerned about us watering it. Geeeeez. He wanted to make sure that I water it in the morning and check it at night. We are not going to burn the apartment down Mifflin, but thanks for your advice and concern.)

Anyways, you already know my embarrassing Christmas tree purchasing story from last year. This year I survived— so did the Suburban….ehhhhhh.

LB, just come out with it. What is this chick so embarrassed about?!

As Thanksgiving ends I pull out the Christmas jams. I’ve got the Carpenter’s Christmas Album, Jessica Simpson’s (yea, I should probably be really embarrassed about this too), Destiny Child’s, BoyzIIMen’s, and of course the essentials Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and some Barbra Streisand.

So want to know my favorite Christmas CD?

I absolutely L O V E the 1993 classic “It’s Christmastime” by the one and only KathieLee Gifford.

I couldn’t even type that without laughing at myself. Look at her! In the wreath. Ehhhh.

So that’s my Christmas Confession.

I admit it, I love me the angelic voice of KathieLee.

And get this: There is even a duet between Miss Gifford and Regis (aka Rege, that’s what KathieLee calls him) on the smash Holiday Hit “Silver Bells.” ***

So, Molly…is it worse that I own a fannypack or this CD?!

*Added bonus: As I am typing this my IPOD is playing Keith Sweat’s new single “Be Your Santa Clause.” Hey, it was a free ITUNES download. Ehhhhh.

I just confessed too much.
