So, one of my favorite, favorite things to do on the road is to GO TO THE MOVIES! Mostly because I can go to matinees and go to the movies on weeknights so they are normally not crowded and a lot cheaper!
In the past 2 days I have seen;
Bedtime Stories: I don’t think I would have gone to this movieĀ had I not been in the middle of nowhere…but it was a pleasant surprise. It was a great movie, for children and adults, I think Disney finally got the “Shrek-type” movie right. Adam Sandler was great and apparently had the opportunity to produce it which helped Disney out a lot! Great movie to bring the kids to, they will totally laugh out loud, and so will you!
Marley and Me: Loved it! Loved it! And I totally could have sobed louder but…I refrained as to not embarrass Cheese. If you have ever owned a dog, especially a Lab, see this movie….like….now!
Over my vacation I saw “Yes Man” now, normally to a Jim Carrey movie I would say, “No, man…” but I had a feeling that Jimmy had grown up since his time with Jenny McCarthy and I strolled on over the theatre and laughed a lotttttt! It really was funny. There was one scene that I did NOT care for that totally grossed me O U T. If you see this movie I hope you agree with me, it involves an old lady…
So I must say way to go 2009 with the movies! I have been pleasantly surprised!
Next up… The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, 3 hours of Brad Pitt, that I can handle.
I use to go to the movies every weekend. I cut back latley. But I have been watching the TCM channel a lot. Mostly movies from the 40s and 50s that I never saw. I have to start going though again. I think it is great entertainment.
I’m dying to see Slumdog Millionaire! I’ve heard it’s fabulous. I tried to go the other night, but there was a line around the block – booo. Thanks for your comment; I need to start writing again now that things are settling down! Stay in touch.
did you see Benjamin Button yet?!! I heart it so much. I’ve seen it twice already. It’s soooo good. And…Brad….yum.
Bedtime Stories was a lot of fun, seemed to be much the same style as Sandler’s previous movie, “Click”
